We have asked participants in the Generations of Faith program
to bring back their Home Kit bags filled with items for the Food
Pantry. You will be pleased to hear that this thoughtful suggestion
by a staff member has produced unexpected dividends. Just when
the food pantries need it the most our Generations of Faith donations
have substantially helped to meet the need.
At the end of each program session of Generations of Faith,
participants are given a Home Kit bag which includes materials
and
resources to use throughout the
season at home. Families may find activities and/or a call to
action to help them live their faith. In the first program the
book "Prayers Without Borders" was included in the
take home kit.
When you get home after Generations of Faith please empty
out your Home Kit bag and return it to the church the next Sunday.
We ask that you bring it back filled with your donations to the
food pantry. The Menomonee Falls Food Pantry tells us that they
are in need of baby food, cereal, canned fruit and vegetable
juices, personal hygiene items (i.e. paper towels and Kleenex)
and coffee. If you can drop off at the church during the week
it would help avoid congestion in the narthex.
